Diary from the NY Shows.

As you know, if you are regular reader of our buying journals, we buy for the future! This NY show was all about Holiday 2016. Think lush knits, cozy sweaters, an indulgence of leisurewear, and (of course) the bling of cocktail dresses and embellished tops!

As is true of many of our buying trips, we started with Prairie Underground. The fall and holiday collections show new silhouettes in jacket bodies. The details are in stitching and quilting.  We love the addition of soft colors for this delivery which takes those November purchases into the early spring!

Continuing on with our other best lines: Nally & Millie brings a brilliantly soft sweater collection, Splendid is showing tribal knit pullovers, and Velvet is all about quality knits and print tops. The top trends for late fall: faux suede in cognac, Western themed tops (best done by Ella Moss), and again everyone is mad for plaid!

We especially love the soft woven top from Velvet Heart! These slightly washed and worn plaids have the perfect lived-in look to wear with your favorite jeans this fall! It was a brilliant show with lots of inspiration for the coming seasons!
