Our friends and neighbors at Wild Child have moved to a new location at 5 Medford Street in Arlington. Their shiny, pretty new store is very close-by (and indeed I mean very close, like a block and a half away) and pleasant walk from Helena's. We will miss seeing owners Lauren and Steve, as well as their friendly staff, but we make frequent visits to keep connected. They are open for business. Be sure to stop by! Read more at their blog, The Wild Side.

Two styles of summer crop pants are here. The Christopher Blue Arata crop in denim has a classic fit that narrows at the ankle for a streamline look. The Halle crop pants (shown) from Worn just arrived in two colors: classic black and brown. They have an easy, casual fit that looks exceptionally good with flip-flops and strappy sandals.

The summer collection from XCVI is pretty, pretty, pretty. And the tops are real knock-outs. We have the All-Star top (shown) in pale blue and white. Another winner is a 3/4 sleeve cowlneck top that we also have in pale blue. Both these tops look great with denim, whether it's a pair of new Lucky brand jeans, or a great denim skirt from Worn.
We have a fresh delivery of one of the most popular skirts we have ever had in the store. The Nally & Millie reversible skirt has a bold, colorful print on one side (we have several prints in store) and a basic black skirt on the other side. The fabric is soft and the fit is fantastic (and so is the price: $69).

Orla Kiely is mixing it up with a new collection of multi-directional stem print accessories. This early fall delivery features her well know print style in great constrast colors on a bark colored background. We have the big zip wallets and the midi-sling bag.
The options for this jeans jacket from Lucky Brand are endless. Its dark wash and slim profile give it that classic style I like to call, "Americana." Yes, I made that up...but it translate to casual, clean and simple. Wear this with a print maxi and flip-flops. Wear it with black bermuda shorts and a bright tank. Wear it over a shift dress. We have other great Lucky Brand pieces in, and you will see more great styles coming in this fall!

Somehow, this jewelry line slipped through our fingers for a little while. But they are back at the store and look better than ever. Their colorful shell and resin pedants are our favorites. They have a luminous color and a irresistible candy-lozenge appeal. A new addition to their collection is a reversible pendant necklace with a different hue on each side. A perfect combination of pretty and versatile!

The debut party for "Crave Boston: The Urban Gal's Manifesto" was last night....and it was fantastico! It was energizing to gab (and eat chocolate...and cupcakes) with women business owners from all over the Boston area. I saw Arlington friends from Isis Maternity, Blush Salon, and my favorite photographer Stephanie Savas who is opening a new shop/ studio in the North End. The book will be availabe at Helena's, and we are a featured business! It's a fun, inspiring, and stylish read! To see more about Crave, click here.
