Prairie Underground Blackout Jeans at Helena's!

These jeans, true to all PrU designs, are a mix of edgy and feminine. Modern and romantic, with a high-rise button front that pulls you in like a denim corset. (And they are in ALL ways comfortable. I am wearing a pair as I type this.) In addition to the high-rise and exposed buttons on the front, there are tuck-pleat pockets, and ribbed cotton at the ankle for both style and comfort. In other words, a lot of fashion is goin' on in this jean. And they are made of organic cotton. We have them in a dark grey for $169.

LaMade defines casual chic.

LaMade for spring has lots pretty details on classic pieces. We have the top above in a periwinkle blue, and the dress above in black. Another favorite (not pictured) is a drapeneck tank with crochet detail at the shoulders. We have it in two colors: coral pink and soft yellow.

Love the Nally & Millie Reversible Skirts? Now there are dresses!

The designers at Nally & Millie have impressed us again with their creativity. This, my friends, is a reversible dress. A lovely, printed dress with two looks. The fabric is silky, and the fit is effortless. This reversible dress has a varied print-duo in on-trend orange hues. The left print shown is a floral, the right is a lace print. The shape on this tank dress falls away in all the right places. Wear each of these looks with a bronze strappy sandal from Sadie's.

This version of the reversible dress has a shadow leaf print in black on one side, and blue on the other. Think of the possibilities for travel!

The Belly Button Saves the Day!

When one of the sweet staffers at Isis Parenting announced she was pregnant, I handed her The Belly Button, along with a hug and my heartfelt congratulations. For those early weeks in pregnancy this waistband extender is superb. And, I must say, it's seriously useful in non-pregnant life as well. Have a few pairs of jeans that are a wee-too-tight in the waist? Pop a Belly Button around the button and you have a stretchy life-saver. It's a great wardrobe fix to have at the ready. Velvet has arrived for March! These are three of the many beauties that arrived. The Elerie dress has a draped neckline and gathers at the shoulders. We have the Elerie in midnight blue. Hazel arrived yesterday! These are some of the pretty detailed pieces that are at Helena's now. My favorite: the denim dress with zipper trim at the shoulder and pocket.

New Spring Lia Molly Sweaters.

It is difficult for me to express my devotion to this line. Lia Molly's New Orleans designer puts out a tiny collection of sweaters (and only sweaters) two times a year. Each one is like a little gift, and has personality and detail. The white sweater with the black tie has open crochet floral and bird design across the back, leaving an impression from the back that equals the impact of the front. These three sweaters arrived today.

Helena's loves Testament!
