Prairie Underground Blackout Jeans at Helena's!
These jeans, true to all PrU designs, are a mix of edgy and feminine. Modern and romantic, with a high-rise button front that pulls you in like a denim corset. (And they are in ALL ways comfortable. I am wearing a pair as I type this.) In addition to the high-rise and exposed buttons on the front, there are tuck-pleat pockets, and ribbed cotton at the ankle for both style and comfort. In other words, a lot of fashion is goin' on in this jean. And they are made of organic cotton. We have them in a dark grey for $169.

Love the Nally & Millie Reversible Skirts? Now there are dresses!
The designers at Nally & Millie have impressed us again with their creativity. This, my friends, is a reversible dress. A lovely, printed dress with two looks. The fabric is silky, and the fit is effortless. This reversible dress has a varied print-duo in on-trend orange hues. The left print shown is a floral, the right is a lace print. The shape on this tank dress falls away in all the right places. Wear each of these looks with a bronze strappy sandal from Sadie's.
The Belly Button Saves the Day!
When one of the sweet staffers at Isis Parenting announced she was pregnant, I handed her The Belly Button, along with a hug and my heartfelt congratulations. For those early weeks in pregnancy this waistband extender is superb. And, I must say, it's seriously useful in non-pregnant life as well. Have a few pairs of jeans that are a wee-too-tight in the waist? Pop a Belly Button around the button and you have a stretchy life-saver. It's a great wardrobe fix to have at the ready. We have these Belly Buttons in a pretty lime green bowl at our counter.

The Amazing Fit: James Jeans at Helena's.
James Jeans is reknowned for stretchy denim, stylish washes, and out-of-this-world fit. The Reboot (shown above), the Randi, and the Hunter arrived today. These jeans all have a higher rise that fits around the hip and waist in a flattering, comfortable way. Come in a try a pair on. They are a jean-lovers dream come true.
Solution for hemming your jeans! Hem Gems are at Helena's!
Getting jeans tailored at the hem is a standard practice in denim wearing. Most of us have a favorite neighborhood tailor who sees us on a regular basic, with a new pair of jeans tucked under our arm. But what if you want to wear your favorite pair of Red Engine Garnet jeans with both flats and heels? Hem Gems are you new BFF. These garment tacks are brilliantly designed to hem your jeans to any length. And there's a clever (and easy) method to leave the seam detail showing. We have them at Helena's. $20 for a package of 8.

New Velvet Tops and Dresses.
Velvet has arrived for March! These are three of the many beauties that arrived. The Elerie dress has a draped neckline and gathers at the shoulders. We have the Elerie in midnight blue. The Malvina print top has become an instant customer favorite with its pretty print and pleated front. We have the Malvina in the cobalt blue print (shown here in black). And the Abeline tank is divine with a gauzy cotton overlay. We have it in white as shown. Wear it with a dark jean jacket for a stunning spring look!

New Spring Lia Molly Sweaters.
It is difficult for me to express my devotion to this line. Lia Molly's New Orleans designer puts out a tiny collection of sweaters (and only sweaters) two times a year. Each one is like a little gift, and has personality and detail. The white sweater with the black tie has open crochet floral and bird design across the back, leaving an impression from the back that equals the impact of the front. These three sweaters arrived today.
