Ruby-Rust Nail Color for Winter...and perhaps into Spring.

The newest nail trend (spotted on every woman I saw at the NY shows last week) is a rusty-red...with shimmer. And it looks pretty fantastic especially on short nails. If this warm nail color transitions into spring, it will look smashing with all the cream, navy, and olive green pieces that dominate the spring collections.

If you haul your sweet self another 15 minutes on Mass Ave, you'll find yourself in Ye Olde Lexington Center. Get yourself a delicious cup of coffee at Ride Studio Cafe. Then, go to The Elephant's Trunk bookstore which just opened last month. The staff is smart and delightfully chatty (like our own Helena's staffers), the book selection is edited down to perfection, and the space is neat and shop-able. The best section? A small collection of the owner and staff's favorite adult reads. I picked up a copy of Just Kids by Patti Smith. Fantastic!
