This week we also perused new fashion in NYC at the giant shows that follow New York's Fashion Week. Big trends are detailed knits, and lots of feminine touches of lace, eyelets and crocheted details. And happily purples, plums, cobalts and navy blues are still beautifully represented. Spring and summer are right around the corner! Our spring fashions have been making weekly (if not daily) arrivals at the store. This week we welcomed more Kensie, the new line Devon & Kiera, Level 99, and some more great tops from Testament.

New XCVI for Spring
XCVI never disappoints! The new spring line is fabulous with some tried and true pieces, along with some show stopping new styles. Pictured above is one of the newest designs from XCVI, the Tango dress. Made from stretch poplin, the tango is supremely comfortable, and its princess seamed construction makes the most of all your wonderful curves. Drawstrings at the bottom, and also at the shoulders give this dress a unique fit that you can personalize to your ideal shape and preferences. Founded in 1996 (hence the name XCVI), by Zita Geltzer, XCVI is perfect for those of us who value comfort, but don't want to give up that funky edge. We have lots of great pieces from them this season including their famous cropped pants, ruched skirts, hemp knit tops and dresses, and jackets, like the ruffle button jacket above.

Kensie and Sweet Pea: Happy Together
Happy Valentine's Day from your pals at Helena's. If you've sauntered by our window lately you may have noticed that we have gotten in a bevy of beautiful new spring styles from Kensie and Sweet Pea.
We love this dress from Kensie. Very cool, abstract printed skirt with black knit v neck top, comes with a gorgeously large and in charge black patent belt, that makes almost any figure instantly hourglass and va va voom sexy. Retro styling with modern details makes this dress a winner. I would love to see this paired up with some cute yellow or red flats for spring.
Another line we are just wild about is Sweet pea by Staci Frati. Designed using layers of thin supple mesh, Sweet Pea fits a woman's body really well and is just plain...sweet. Check out the babydoll tank, soft, feminine, with pink piping and ties at the waist. One of my favorites in the black and white damask printed flutter sleeve top. It falls beautifully on the body, hugging and falling away in all the right places. Paired up with a yellow and black Retrobling bird cameo it's a perfectly romantic combination.
